I’ve decided to start reading again and my first book of the year is…

Amanda Seales is my best friend in my head but you (and she) are more likely to know her as an artist, comedienne (her special I Be Knowin’ is on Sky in the UK). In her own words, she describes herself as “A comedian, multi-hyphenate, and social justice advocate, Amanda Seales has dedicated her life to creating safe spaces with her witty insightful content.” Our girl is multi-faceted and the word that comes to mind is AUTHENTIC…. oh and consistent. This book was given to me by my sister and I’ve decided to make it my first read of 2024. As a fan since 2019, i know that Amanda has paved her own path, so once the fangirling stops, I’ll let you know how I get on. I’m looking forwatd to it.
